Abstract
Scott will share some of his research and refer to some of the key pillars included in a new course offered by UniSA on Outdoor Environmental Leadership, and its relevance to nature-based/adventure learning and therapeutic programs to assist in navigating contemporary society.
About the presenter/s
Dr. Scott Polley is Senior Lecturer and discipline lead in Outdoor Environmental Education and Program Director of the Bachelor of Outdoor and Environmental Education at the University of South Australia.
He is co-chair of the Australian Tertiary Outdoor Education Network, Committee member for Outdoor Educators’ Association of South Australia and Outdoor Education Australia, reviews editor for the Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education, Coordinating Assessor Paddle SA Education Safety and Technical Committee, Board Member and Assessor for the South Australian Rock-climbing Education Association, Bushwalking Leadership South Australia Assessor and SACE Outdoor Education committee member.
